Sept 09
Hope everyone has had a good summer so far. School has started so
watch out for the little ones heading to school or coming home. Some of us get
a breather with the little ones in school or some of us are going back to work.
Being motorcyclists, we pretty much stay in school, learning things about our
bikes, or road conditions that affect us. We may not even realize that we
learned something at the moment but when telling what has happened, we re-
alize that we did learn something and we pass that knowledge around.
As the year comes to a closing, we have some more projects to do. The
Friday Night Rides will be coming to an end. The first Friday of October will
be our last ride for the year. There will still be the week-end day rides going
on.
If there’s a place you would like to venture off to, just let me know or put a
no-
tice out on the web or email. Cooler weather will play a factor in exactly what
day we may ride. It may take a week to get good enough weather to allow us to
ride so shake those winter riding clothes off and be ready.
The winner of the Fun Run will be picked at the monthly meeting. Not
only is that run fun but also educational. We may call one thing a certain way
when really it’s something else, go figure. I do believe that there’s another
fun
run being planned. I’m not sure of the date yet so watch the emails. We plan
on doing the WT Home Coming Parade again this year so get those WT colors
out. The Veterans Parade is approaching also but there’s still time before that
happens. Trash pick-up will be the Saturday after this chapter meeting. If your
available, it will take less time to clean the chapter's section of highway if
we
have a big turnout.
I apologize for the ones that get the newsletters by mail. Last month was
last years edition. I don't know why that happened but it did. The web copy
was right so those that have that technology had the right one.
