July 09

Is this on roller blades? It’s already half over. May must have taken a lot out of me.
It seems like I have not done much since then. I did run off to Arkansas and Oklahoma
for a few days. If you have not ridden through the Talihina State Park, you should. It has
some beautiful sites and a great road to ride. You will pull over from one side of the road
to the other at scenic overviews. They are close together but it seems like no two sites look
the same as you look down into the valleys. I have heard about this road in Wing World
and from some people Bob and I ran into one morning after the District Rally.
Those of you that are going to the Wing Ding, please be careful. I’ll see you there if
we don’t get to ride together on the way. Those of you that are not able to go to the Wing
Ding, please be careful as well. I would like to come back home and not hear that some-
one was unlucky while I was gone. Please read the Educator’s Corner this month on the
following page. It’s an important article that needs full attention even for those that will
not be traveling this year.
We will be having the summer picnic and campout July 18th and 19th between Wel-
lington and Shamrock, TX along the Red River in Curry County.
With all the rain we have been having, maybe there won’t be any fire bans. I hope
you can take in some of the fire work shows and have your own show as well. The only
thing I dislike about Wing Ding is that I’m not home to keep an eye on my place. I sure
don’t want a call with bad news if you know what I mean. This comes with the territory
of traveling so much. Ya’ll have a great July 4th and I will see you when I return from the
Wing Ding.
